Amazing book! I really loved it. I gave the book four stars because I felt that the ending was rushed and didn't make much sense. If you've read it, feel free to DM me so we can discuss it without spoiling it for others. I was confused about the timeline. Despite this, I still think it's an amazing book, and I plan to read the whole series.⁠

I believe that Book 1 in most standalone series is always going to be the weakest book because it establishes the setting. The process of "world-building" takes a substantial amount of time, but it is what sets a series apart. I love the Phan family and want to stay in this world for a bit longer.
