Julia Diaz-Young is a DC native from a proud Cuban-American family. Her life’s passion is to tell stories. As a child, she’d craft elaborate theatre productions and recruit reluctant cousins to participate. Nowadays, Julia expresses her creativity in her passion for Romance Books. After years of saying that reading wasn’t her, she found a genre and stuck to it. In the past two years since her brand, Chick Lit Is The Sh*t’s inception; she’s amassed 3.6K followers on her main account with a growing second account for her book club. The book club has hosted New York Times and USA Today Bestsellers like Tessa Bailey and Elena Armas.

A recent graduate of Emerson College, Julia plans to use her Marketing Communications major and Publishing minor to grow her brand and work for a publisher. She takes inspiration from Shonda Rhymes, Mindy Kaling, and, most importantly, her Mother.
